The family of the late Cecil Jones Attuquayefio, a former coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, has formally announced his death to President John Dramani Mahama.
A family delegation led by Hon. Adu Mante on Tuesday, informed the President that the former coach would be buried on July 24, 2015 in Accra.
President Mahama described the late Attuquayefio as probably one of Ghana’s most celebrated coaches both with Accra Hearts of Oak and the Black Stars.
“For many years, there had been doubts about the capacity of local coaches to handle the national teams. Jones is one of the people who made mince meat of that myth”, President Mahama stated.
On behalf of the people of Ghana, President Mahama expressed the nation’s condolence to the Attuquayefio family on the death of the former Coach.
