Mamfe Akuapem, Jan. 21, GNA - Mamfe Akuapem All Stars FC on Thursday beat their counterparts, Unity FC 1-0 in a special friendly match at the Mamfe Presbyterian School Park. The match, which was sponsored by MTN Ghana was to commemorate the Mamfe Ohum Festival.
All Stars received a trophy, an undisclosed sum of money, airtime and assorted MTN souvenirs while Unity FC also had sums of money, airtime and assorted MTN souvenirs.
The Eastern Regional Territory Sales Manager, Mr Francis Gyan, who presented the prizes commended the two teams for displaying high sense of sportsmanship.
Mr Gyan commended the Chiefs and people of Mamfe for their support in making the event a success.
He said every year MTN sponsors Ohum festivals and all events that come along with the celebrations as the company's social responsibility. Mr Gyan urged the public to patronize MTN products so that they can always fulfill their social responsibilities to the society. 21 Jan. 11
