A leading supporter of Hearts of Oak, Maxwell Asabre, has said head coach, Sergio Traguil is being influenced in terms of his team selection for games.

Hearts have been unconvincing under the Portuguese, who replaced fan favourite, Kenichi Yatsuashi for the commencement of the second round of the 2015/16 season. A year that started so well, leading many Phobians [Hearts fans] to believe it will end their long eight-year wait for the league title.

Asabre, a staunch supporter of the club, has called on a section of the fans who on Saturday after the pulsating 1-1 draw against debutants, Techiman City, called for the immediate dismissal of the Portuguese, to calm down as the current woes of the club are as a result of management’s interference in the coach’s team plans.

In a radio interview, Asabre said; “even though he is under-performing, I don’t think the time is right to ask for his dismissal.

“I think it is time for him to be talked to, as, after Hearts’ 3-0 defeat to WAFA, he said perhaps, he should have not listened to certain people. And, I deduced from the statement he’s being influenced [with his team selection].”

He added; “If he has now decided he won’t be fooled twice but rather stick to his belief, ideas and conviction, maybe something [results] better will come out of it.”

Hearts play away to Wa All Stars in what is arguably, their most important game of the season as, a defeat will see them fall 4-points behind the league leaders and fizzle any hopes of winning this season’s title.
