Ghanaian winger Elvis Manu has agreed a two-year contract extension with Dutch giants Feyenoord, the club have confirmed.

The 21-year-old’s was due to expire next summer but will now remain with Rotterdam-based side until mid 2017.

Manu asked at the beginning of the season he was hoping for a new contract and his good play this year he succeeded in that goal.

“For me it has always been clear that I want to stay with Feyenoord and wants to succeed here,” left-winger said from the club’s training ground.

He added:”I think I have enforced the past few months. My contract extension himself knew a year ago in a manner of speaking one who I was.

“I’m glad everything now completely behind us and I can concentrate completely on football again.” Technical director Martin van Geel also was pleased.

“Elvis has been this season several times very important to us and we hope that he will in the coming years, many times again.”

Manu has been playing for Feyenoord since 2012 and made his first team debut in February of that year.

The former Holland youth international was loaned out twice; Excelsior (2012/2013) and SC Cambuur for the second half of last season.
