Ghanaian striker Elvis Manu scored his first league goals by grabbing a brace to help Feyenoord beat Heracles 2-1 in the Eredivisie on Saturday night. The 21-year-old opened the scoring on 12 minutes following a pass from Luke Wilshere.
Seven minutes later, he made the most of another good ball, this time from Jens Toornstra, to soon double the home side’s lead at De Kuip.
Heracles were given a lifeline on 63 minutes when Joel Pelupessy was fouled in the box, allowing defender Jeroen Veldmate to convert calmly from the spot for the second time this season.
Manu was later replaced by Jean Paul Boetius in the 77th minute.
