Ghana Premier League Board Judging Panel has named Bechem United midfielder Noah Martey as Player of the Month for February.
The 19-year-old netted six goals last month, becoming the first player this season to score in five consecutive games.
Martey, who provided most assists for last season's goal king Augustine Okrah, has taken the mantle after Okrah joined Sudanese giants Al-Merriekh early in the season.
Three of Martey’s goals were scored in away fixtures and the other three in each of his side’s three home games in February.
West Africa Football Academy head coach John Killa was named best coach of the month, after guiding his team to an unbeaten run in five games. WAFA recorded three wins and two draws, amassing 11 points out of 15 to become the only team not to suffer defeat during that period.
Gilbert Fiamenyo and Kwabena Ameyaw of Hearts and Aduana Stars respectively won the player and the coach of the month awards in January.
Martey and Killa will each receive a prize money of 500 Ghana Cedis (€120) from the league’s title sponsor First Capital Plus Bank during the Premier League games this weekend.
