Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy has begun training after sustaining a finger injury last month in the Ghana Premier League derby.
According to the club’s official mouthpiece, Hearts News, the net minder has begun light training.
McCarthy suffered a sore on his ring finger and is said to be making quick progress.
Hearts goalkeepers’ trainer Abubakari Damba has expressed delight at his recovery.
“It was a big move coming back to training after a few days out. We are all happy to have him back and I must say, we all wish him well,” Damba said.
“I think he has conducted himself quite well and I think he has got a good future. I expect him to make a giant impact steps in his career.”
McCarthy is likely to return for the MTN Ghana FA Cup.
