McCarthy to handle Olympic/Faisal game

Accra, Aug. 20, GNA - Cape Coast based referee, Joseph McCarthy has been appointed by the Ghana league Clubs Association (GHALCA) to handle the second leg football match between Accra Great Olympics and Kumasi King Faisal at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Daniel Aheli and Tetteh Opai both from Koforidua would assist him on the lines whilst Mr Jordan Anagbla will be the match commissioner. Referee R.M. Kwaning of Takoradi will direct affairs of the match between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Tema Real Sportive at the Kumasi Sports Stadium.

His assistants will be Eben Batsa and Gyewu Kyere from Sunyani with Mr Asante Boateng from Techiman as the match commissioner. At Mpraeso, referee Alex Quartey of Accra will handle the crucial game between Okwawu United and Obuasi AshantiGold at the Brightons Park with his compatriots Annan Lomotey and Samuel Quaye assisting him on the lines.

Mr Maxwell Safo has been assigned as the match commissioner. On Saturday at the Accra Sports stadium, referee Steven Oduro from Kumasi will handle the match between Liberty Professionals and Real Tamale United (RTU).

J. E. B. Baiden and A.S.K. Annor from Accra will be the assistant referees with Mr Kwame Ntow-Fiako as the match commissioner.
