Moses Armah says Prince Owusu will put the wow factor back into Medeama’s football.
And Armah, Medeama’s president, will not be afraid to make tough decisions and to re-establish the club as a Force.
The Mauve and Yellows recorded their lowest points since they gained promotion to the Ghanaian top-flight and escaped relegation on the final day of the last season.
Despite impressing in the CAF Confederation Cup, the Tarkwa-based side fell short on the domestic scene.
But Armah, the man responsible for identifying and appointing Prince Owusu as Carlos Roberto Paullete successor, believes the former Ghana Under-20 coach attacking philosophy is what Medeama need.
“He’s a fine coach and has got an incredible energy. I am really excited with his decision to join us and I believe we can build something together,” he told the club’s official website.
“The second part of what he likes is giving the youth a chance.
“He’s got a track record littered with giving young players a break in the first team, who have gone on to be top players. Clearly that’s Medeama’s philosophy and we want him to continue with that.
“I’ve personally found him very warm. He’s a very clear communicator and very direct. I like that in people; I’m a very direct person myself.
“He’s a stickler for planning and that’s something we as a club do very well. We plan everything in a lot of detail and that’s going to be a good fit.”
Owusu will hold his first training session with the side this weekend in Tarkwa-home of Medeama.
