Meteors warm up with Ashgold win

Ghana's male U-23 team beat premier league side AshantiGold 3-2 in a pre-All Africa Games preparation game on Sunday.

Goals from Gilbert Fiamenyo, Mahatma Otoo and Uriah Asante handed the Black Meteors the win at the El-Wak Stadium.


Ghana are drawn in Group B with defending champions, Cameroon for this year’s Games in Maputo, Mozambique.

The Black Meteors are also paired with Uganda and Senegal in the same group for the Games which runs from 3-11 September.
