Michael Osei takes to coaching

Former Ghana midfielder Michael Osei has started his coaching career in Germany.

Osei, who played for the Black Stars in the late 80s and early 90s, revealed that he is currently in charge of a fourth division side.

The former Asante Kotoko silky player, who played in Germany for Frankfurt in the 90s, says he is still continuing with his courses to help him reach the summit of coaching.

"Since football is my chosen profession I want to pursue that career line that?s why I have taken the coaching career," Osei told Ghanasoccernet.

"I am currently with a the coach of a fourth division side which is part of a second division team.

"When I gain more experience I should be able to rise through the ranks to become a world class coach.

"I am also taking more coaching courses alongside coaching this team to make sure I am well rounded."

Osei was part of the Kotoko set-up made up of the likes of Joe Debrah and Thomas Boakye, creating a huge excitement in the Ghana league.

They generated some of the most interesting periods in Ghana football as they faced Hearts of Oak's Shamo Quaye and Ablade Kumah.

Osei failed realise his full potential in Europe because of a knee injury.
