Milan Zivadinovic's Match Agent A Fraud

Thu, 26 Sep 2002 Source: .

Turkish Football Association officials now say the “acclaimed” Turkish FIFA match agent, Hassan Colakoglu introduced to the Ghana Football Association by resigned coach, Milan Zivadinovic, is an imposter.

The FA says, Milan Zivadinovic informed it to empower the Turkish acclaimed FIFA match agent, Colakoglu to organize international friendly matches during the Black Stars’ build up to the 2004 African Nations Cup qualifying series against the Cranes of Uganda.

Upon the Yugoslav’s request, the FA notified the Turkish FA about FIFA match agent, Colakoglu who was to facilitate trial matches between Ghana and the Turks between 19th and 27th August 2002.

However the Ghana Football Association received a shocking reply from the Turkish Football Association-TFA, that Hassan Colakoglu the FIFA match agent recommended to Ghana by Milan Zivadinovic was neither registered with the TFA nor known as a FIFA agent.

Milan all this while was in Yugoslavia awaiting the Black Stars’ arrival for the matches. Communication broke down as the GFA took over the match arrangements in consultation with the TFA who agreed to organize a training camp for Ghana.

The Network Herald’s further investigations with FIFA over accredited match agents worldwide revealed that Milan’s Turkish-based FIFA match agent is not registered with soccer’s governing body.

Meanwhile, some soccer administrators have condemned the Ben Koufie administration for failing to bring him to book during that time until his unceremonious departure leading to his resignation.

Among the reasons by Milan for his resignation was the inability of the Ghanaian FA to support him organize friendly matches after the cancellation of matches in Turkey and Yugoslavia.

Meanwhile, Mr. Zivadinovic is alleged to have rejected a friendly match against Dutch champions, Ajax Amsterdam before Ghana’s game against Uganda. He is said to have stated that the Ajax side was too strong for the Black Stars
