Millennium Supporters Union endorse African Origin Travel

& Sports Tourism for Brazil 2014

The Millennium Supporters Union of Ghana (MISUGHA) has endorsed African Origin Travel and Sports Tourism as the most reliable and cheapest charging agency with the track record to fly football fans to Brazil for the World Cup.

At a well attended press conference on Thursday to lay out their travel itinerary for the year, Alhaji Sambo, the General Secretary said they have put in advance preparations for the Black Stars friendly games against Montenegro and Holland on March 5th and May 31st , 2014 respectively, the FIFA U17 Girls Tournament in Costa Rica currently in process, the FIFA U20 in Canada from August 5th to 24th, 2014, the FIFA World Cup in Brazil between June 12th and July 13th, 2014 and the Commonwealth Games in Scotland from July 23rd to August 3rd, 2014.

He noted that African Origin and Travel Matters have offered them golden services at the 2013 African Nations Cup and the recent CHAN in South Africa.

Alhaji Sambo congratulated the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for taking the nation to three successive World Cups and prayed that the Black Stars would shine brighter than ever in Brazil.

He expressed that most of their 8,000 registered members wish to travel to Brazil for lack of funds could deprive many who would support at home and for those who are going, he pleaded with the government to cater for their fight tickets and accommodation whilst the supporters manage their feeding and internal transportation which has been arranged by the Travel Agency.

National Organiser Guntu said most people are talking about economic hardships and government should not waste funds on the supporters, but he thought otherwise and stressed that football without fans is punishment and Corporate Ghana must come out in their numbers to support the government to send supporters to cheer the national team.

Prince Tagoe, the prince of goals who was a surprise guest said football without fans can not be enjoyed and supported the idea that government must take fans to the World Cup.

Some of the executives of MISUGHA who graced the event were Mr. Emmanuel Frimpong, Alhaji Bash, Mr. Issaka Alhassan and Mr. Steve Attipoe, a patron of the Union.

MISUGHA supporters have backed sporting events since 2009 when 45 members went to the U20 World Youth Championship in Egypt which Ghana captained by Andre Dede Ayew won.

242 members went to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and 282 members participated in the 2013 African Nations Cup. They were at the last Black Stars World Cup qualifier in Egypt represented by 90 members.
