Accra, Nov. 29, GNA - Immediate-past head coach of the Black Stars, Milovan Rajevac has been overlooked by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in the search for a new manager.

The Serbian, whose purported come-back has recently dominated the media, was no part of the quintet short-listed coaches released by the GFA Search Committee on Monday.

Rajevac initially made the nine short-listed coaches pruned to five by the search party.

Herbert Addo, head coach of defending league champions, Aduana Stars and the local Black Stars is the only local coach among the shortlists. The rest are ex-France International Marcel Desailly, Serbian Goran Stevanovic, Portuguese Humberto Coelho and Can Vanli.

According to the GFA, the five coaches will be interviewed at a later date before the suitable applicant is named by mid-December.

The Ghanaian born Desailly who had a successful spell with France but has no coaching experience remains the youngest of the short-listed applicants at 42.

Stevanovic, 43, is currently the coach of Serbian league leaders, Partizan Belgrade whilst the 60-year old Coelho is presently unattached after being fired as Tunisia coach last November. Vanli, a German-Turkish is also head coach of Maldivian club, VB Spo= rts Club. Over 100 applicants applied for the Black Stars job which became vac= ant in September. 29 Nov. 2010
