Accra, Sept. 18, GNA - The Management of Division One side, Maamobi Mitdjyland has declared that the transfer of Prince Tagoe from Al Ittihad to Al Ittifaq is incomplete and illegal.

The club said at a press conference in Accra on Tuesday that their declaration follows an abrogation of contract between Mitdjyland and Tagoe.

Mohammed Amin Lamptey, Communications Director of the Club said Tagoe was loaned out to Al Ittihad for 18 months and was to revert to Mitdjyland on completion of the 18-month contract with the Saudi club. The management said Mitdjyland by the terms of the contract is to negotiate and retransfer the player to any other club after the deal. Amin Lamptey said the contract was witnessed by Jordan Anagbla, Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association and Abukari Damba, an ex-national goalkeeper.

The Communication Director however noted that Tagoe ignored the terms and with the connivance of Abdul Ghani and Mubarak Ambel registered for Ittifaq.

He said the action of the player, the agents involved and Ittifaq renders the contract null and void as Mitdjyland still has the rights to transfer the player.

Amin Lamptey stated that the club would petition the Saudi Football Federation through the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in a bid to seek justice.

He added that his outfit would also report the conduct of Ittifaq to the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) for the appropriate actions to be taken against the Club. Amin Lamptey said Mitdjyland is not out to destroy the career of the player they help to build but that their action is rather an attempt to find an amicable solution to the problem and to set the records straight.
