Motivate Players - Alberta Sackey

The Former Skipper of the Ghana's Snr. Women's team the Black Queens, Ms. Alberta Sackey aka "Albino" has expressed her worries about the performance and the position of the FIFA raking of the Black Queens  which is quite disturbing and strongly believes that, there is something wrong ,some where.      She indicated that very serious strategies need to be mapped out to bring the team back where it belongs to in the women's division.    "Albino" as she is popularly called noted that, the Ministry of Sports and the  management of the Black Queens should do all it can to motive the technical staff and the players so that they die a little bit for the nation, the players should be given more exposure by playing friendly matches with some soccer nations and modern equipment should be introduced in their training regimen.      The tall and lanky defender who was the best Women's player of Africa in the year 2002 explained that, during her time with Black Queens the players hall mark was discipline, dedication, total team work, unity and the respect for each at the camp.

     "I am humbly appealing to the players to be self discipline in camp, and off the pitch so that the good name of Ghana will still prevail at all times and also they should let the Almighty Lord be their cornerstone" Ms.Sackey noted.     Answering a question as to who inspired her, the affordable former skipper was quick to point out Coach E.K.Edusei whose fatherly advice did the trick for her to be serious.    In an exclusive interview with this freelance Journalist last weekend in Bronx, "Albino" disclosed that she now works with the State of New York as an accountant after completing her education in the USA ,"but i still follows the Women's soccer and hopes that  one day, one time, i will be back home to give them a helping hand when the time comes"

      She noted that, she is in touch with her former team mates likes Kulu Yahaya. Barikisu Tetteh Quae, Afua Gyamfua, Elizabeth Baidoo, and Vivian Mensah who are based in the USA, and I also get in touch with some my former colleagues who are based in the Europe and Ghana to see what we can do in the near future to help the up and coming young ladies who are willing to don the National colors.

    Albino advised women who are into soccer to be God fearing, respectful, focused, dedicated and committed when ever they don the colors of the national team and should remember that, they are playing for Ghana and not any personality or for contract. "When the door opens for you to get the  contract it will come, no one can stop it" Ms. Sackey noted.
