The 22-year-old has attracted interest from the Belgian top-flight after a successful loan spell with Latina

Ghana defender Masahudu Alhassan is close to joining Royal Mouscron-Péruwelz on a season-long loan after returning to Udinese from a successful loan deal at Latina in the Italian Serie B.

The Belgian Pro League side have contacted Udinese to sign Alhassan in order to boost their defence ahead of the 2015-16 campaign after finishing 13th last season. Coach Cedomir Janevski and chairman Edward Van Daele are keen on bringing the Ghanaian to Stade Le Canonnier, Goal understands.

The former Genoa youngster played 16 matches for Latina last season, starting all and scoring once to help the club finish 13th with 50 points on a 21-league log.

Alhassan joined Udinese from Genoa in January 2013 in a co-ownership deal for €1.5 million, as part of Antonio Floro Flores's deal but has been farmed out on two occasions to Latina.

Udinese finally acquired him in June 2013 for a reported fee of €620,000.

Alhassan was part of the Ghana U20 team at the 2011 African Youth Championship and was also part of Ghana team that finished fourth at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations held in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
