Sulley Muntari insists Ghana's only focus is on the next game and not talk about a place in the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations.

The Black Stars after a slow first half scored two second half goals through Asamoah Gyan and Andre Ayew to beat the Malians 2-0 at the Stade de Franceville on Saturday to stay top Group D.

Ghana beat Botswana 1-0 in their opening match and look set to qualify as group winners. The group is still wide open between Ghana, Mali and Guinea as the qualification places would determined on the final day of matches.

"No, we are not really talking about that," Muntari said in response to a question about talk of a place in the quarter-final.

"We got our last game against Guinea so we focusing on that."

"We are playing good so everyone that we meet, they make sure that they are on us. It is very difficult playing any team but it is important that we win."

Muntari who was taken off in the 59th minute before Ghana opened the scoring explains that he is happy with his work rate.

"I have been training hard since we came here (Gabon). The coach wanted to make changes, he is the boss and he chooses what to do," he said.

Goran Stevanovic’s side are top in the group with six points while Mali and Guinea are level on three points ahead of the last matches on Wednesday.
