Sulley Muntari has let loose a thinly-veiled broadside at reports that former Barcelona gaffer, Josep Guardiola could replace Massimilliano Allegri at AC Milan and that Zlatan Ibrahimovic's absence is costing the club. Allegri surprised everybody with his insistence that Adriano Galliani secured Muntari whom he coached at Udinese some years back, a decision the club is happy with the benefit of hindsight.
After securing the move, Muntari was a faithful servant giving Milan value for the money used to purchase him last season. Now talk of Allegri's potential replacement at Milan with Guardiola seems to irk the 27-year old. "Guardiola? I know Allegri, he is a great coach and we are all with him," he snapped.
The absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been highlighted in various media circles as the chink in the club's armour as they struggle match after match to find a winning sequence to their Serie A season, but Muntari disagrees; "Ibrahimovic left AC Milan a champion but with the materials available, we can replicate what we did last season.
"Ibrahimovic's days at Milan are over and we have already put those memories behind us. After the international break we should all expect a new Milan," Muntari's injury during the European season break has robbed Milan of his services and he yearns for a quick comeback.
"I can return soon, tomorrow perhaps, because the doctors and physiotherapists are working well"
