J.E Sarpong, head coach of Ebusua Dwarfs, has accused his players of not working for him and the team after suffering a successive premier league defeat on Friday.

Having lost opening day Ghana Premier League fixture at home against Dreams FC, the Abontoabontoa boys were piped 1-0 at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium against New Edubiase.

And the former Liberty Professionals coach reckon his team did little to earn a point because they were not ready to work for him.

“It is very disappointing, very disheartening. We entered the premiership with so much excitement, with the anticipation to stay aloft.

“But this is football; either there is something wrong somewhere or the commitment of the players is not there or they are not ready to work for the team and the coach,” disappointed J.E Sarpong told the media after the game.

Dwarfs have about six players injured, but J.E Sarpong insist it is not an excuse to lose two game on the bounce.

“Yes we have about six players who are not in the team because they are sick and others for certain reasons, but that’s not an excuse.

“We registered 26 players for the season and I thought we could have done something better . It is very disheartening; I think I have been led down by my team. I must be very frank,” he noted.

Ebusua Dwarfs next outing in the premier league will be against high flying Accra Hearts of Oak next weekend.
