Namibia Football club wins gala competition

Anaji, (W/R) Dec.27, GNA - Namibia Football Club retained the annual football gala trophy organised by the Anaji Electoral Area when they beat their archrivals, Anaji Town Football Club 4-3 on penalties after a drawn game at full time.

The annual football gala competition, which formed part of the Christmas festivities in the area drew a large crowd of enthusiastic football lovers from far and near.

Anaji Estate, Brigade, Anaji Town and Namibia Football Clubs participated in the gala competition.

Madam Sabina Mensah, a midwife at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital presented the winning team with the trophy, 300,000 cedis cash and a football. The other participating teams were also presented with cash prizes and a football each.
