Nana Ampomah scores as Fortuna beat Kaiserslautern to reach German Cup quarters

Winger Nana Ampomah scored the opener as Fortuna Düsseldorf thumped Kaiserslautern 5-2 on Tuesday in the German Cup third round.

The Ghana international found the back of the net in the 9th minute when he controlled a ball with his right foot before smashing it in on a half turn with the left foot.

But the home snatched the equalizer under one minute through Christian Kühlwette.

Kühlwette gave Kaiserslautern the lead after 39 minutes before Rouwen Hennings levelled four minutes after the break.

Matthias Zimmermann put Fortuna in the lead in the 65th minute before Hennings found the back of the net again to make it 4-2.

Kevin Stoeger put the icing on the cake with the fifth goal in the 8th minute.
