Reports in France indicate that Marseille have rejected Napoli’s offer of €8m plus Goran Pandev for Andre Ayew.
Le10Sport reveal that the Ligue 1 outfit have turned down the Partenopei’s bid for the Ghana international, which included Pandev in part-exchange.
The 24-year-old has been a mainstay in the Stade Velodrome outfit’s XI almost since his debut in 2007, becoming an integral part of the first team.
As such, new boss Marcelo Bielsa is reticent to see one of his better players leave after only a few weeks in the job.
The lure of Champions League football though, could prove too much, with Napoli confident they can get their man with a slightly better offer.
