National Coca-Cola U-17 Soccer Tournament hits Koforidua

Accra, Sept 6, GNA - Eight Clubs in the Eastern Region will this weekend vie for the single slot to compete for honours in the National Coca Cola Under-17 Soccer Tournament later in the year. The regional tournament aimed at selecting a team to represent the Eastern Region is scheduled for September 11 and 12, at the Koforidua Sports Stadium.

Accra, Sept 6, GNA - Eight Clubs in the Eastern Region will this weekend vie for the single slot to compete for honours in the National Coca Cola Under-17 Soccer Tournament later in the year. The regional tournament aimed at selecting a team to represent the Eastern Region is scheduled for September 11 and 12, at the Koforidua Sports Stadium. The competing teams are Soccer Legends of Nsawam, Young Kotoko of Asamankesse, Soccer Warriors of Apirede and Great Wonders of Somanya. The rest are Frankfurt Academy - Akwatia, King Faisal - Odumase, Young Diamonds of Akwatia and Ultimate Soccer Acedamy of Mpraeso. At stake will be a giant trophy for the winner, cash prize of 400GHC, a set of jersey and Coca-Cola products, with the second prize taking home 350GHC, a plaque and Coca-Cola products whilst the third prize will be given 300GHC, a plaque and products of the company. In attendance will be coach Emmanuel Kwesi Afranie and Tony Baffoe to undertake soccer clinics for players in the area. 06 Sept. 09
