Chief Executive officer of New Edubiase, Alex Akummey has admitted that, their beloved club is in difficult moment now but he is of the view that it is only temporal.

New Edubiase has endured a torrid season and have threatened to boycott the league on several occasions. The President of the club, Abdul Salam Yakubu wrote to the FA to finally withdraw from the league due to poor officiating and lack of financial support.

At the end of the first round of the Ghana Premier League, the performance of New Edubiase was dwindling. The club was able to win three matches, three draws and nine loses out of fifteen matches played conceding eighteen goals.

New Edubiase started the second round of the league on good note by getting the first win against Medeama SC pipping them by a goal to nothing.

Speaking ahead of their tricky encounter between Dreams FC, he said, “I have told my supporters that we are in difficult moment now when we ended the first round of the league.

“We all saw what happened to us but we are a bit calm because some of our players have been suspended, our director have been suspended and the team have been suspended from playing at home and without supporters with a fined as well.

“For me it not good for Ghana football and not good for our club as well. Whoever has a bad intension for the club will never succeed because where we are now is just a temporal moment for us even though it is tough but it is still achievable to get to better position than this.

“They can decide to send us everywhere to play our home matches but what I want to say is that we will never remain in our position forever and that is what I will tell my supporters. He added.

After match day 17, New Edubaise have 15 points lying on the 16th position and will be looking forward to secure a second win in the second round.
