New Edubaise United have officially pulled out of the Ghana Premier League. Ghanasportsonline.com can confirm.

Club President Abdul Salam Yakubu who had earlier hinted his plans to withdraw from the League served the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Premier League Board (PLB) with a notice indicating they have pulled out of the League.

The letter which was cited by Ghanasportsonline.com saw the Club hinting over the difficulty in funding players and officials due to the FA’s failure to secure a sponsorship for the League.

Details of the letter also saw Edubiase complain about poor officiating against them which they indicated as one of the major factors to fuel their decision to withdraw from the League.

The situation means the Club will not honour their League game against Medeama SC at the Takwa T&A Park on Sunday.

New Edubiase are currently lying bottom of the League table with 12 points after 14 matches.

The Ghana Premier League according to report will go on a three-week break.
