A new Fifa match report on the Sudan-Ghana match has clarified Anthony Annan's status in the 2010 joint Nations Cup/World Cup qualifiers after earlier suggesting he would miss the next qualifier due to a second yellow card.

The post-match statistics on the Fifa website claims Sudanese defender Tarig Kafi was rather booked in the 25th minute by Libyan referee Ambaya Jamel instead of Annan.

Live television broadcast credited the Rosenberg player with the yellow card and was also confirmed by the live match cast on the website.

The 22-year-old told Ghanasoccernet:"I was shocked when a relation asked me to check on the internet that I was suspended. Anyway I'm happy this has finally been cleared by Fifa and I will be ready in September."

Annan has played all of Ghana nine world cup qualifiers.
