Operations Manager of West African Football Academy (WAFA), George Ofosuhene, has vehemently denied reports indicating that the club’s goalkeeper, Razak Abalora, is in talks with Accra Hearts of Oak for a possible transfer.
According to Mr Ofosuhene, WAFA have officially not received any bid for the goalkeeper.
“We have never received any offer for our goal keeper and we have not received anything from Hearts of Oak. …I think I will condemn it totally and that whoever is doing that should be ashamed of himself because we are in a professional era. … If you are interested in the player, just come straight to the club and let’s know your intention,” he told Class Sports.
The Phobians are in the market and are hoping to sign a goalkeeper ahead of the next campaign as Burkinabe goalie Soulama Abdoulaye is rumoured to be on his way out of the club after a not-so-impressive campaign.
Twenty-year-old Abalora had a breakthrough campaign with WAFA in the just-ended season with 11 clean sheets from 27 appearances.
