Accra, May 20, GNA - United States-based striker Patrick Nyarko will not be in the Black Stars squad for the upcoming 2010 World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mali and Sudan. The 23-year old, one of the few players whose performance caught the attention of Black Stars trainer Milovan Rajevac during his recent monitoring mission of Europe and America is being rumoured for a place in the Stars squad to be named later this week.

But coach Milovan insists he has no immediate plans for the relatively unknown Chicago Fire striker.

"Nyarko will not be part of the team for the Mali and Sudan games. I intend to give him a chance in friendly matches later in the year," Milo told GNA Sports on Tuesday.

The Serb added that the six-feet tall player will be seriously considered after the two crucial away games.

"He is a very good player and a good material for the future. I watched him play and his performance was very impressive. "After the Mali and Sudan games, we will invite him for future international friendlies."

Milovan also cited traveling-related problems amongst others for leaving out the former Kaaseman FC player, touted as the answer to the Stars striking problems.

Nyarko, who joined Chicago Fire in 2008, has scored twice in 18 appearances for the "Men in Red." 20 May 09
