New Edubiase United midfielder Alhassan Nuhu wants to make history with the Bekwai-based club by helping them secure a record top four finish in the Ghana Premier League this season.

Since their promotion to the top-flight division five years ago, Edubiase best result has been a sixth place in the 2012/13 season.

The 25-year-old former Real Sportive player has been in good form since the start of the campaign, scoring nine league goals and providing six assists. He says earning a top four finish with his side by close of the season would be a dream come true.

“New Edubiase objective this season is to finish among the four best teams,” Alhassan Nuhu told Goal.

“It has been very difficult in achieving that target. The closest to the top we’ve had was sixth position two seasons ago. However, we’re working very hard to make history this time,” he said.

The 2012 FA Cup winners are yet to find their feet this season as they sit at 14th position with 10 points, but Nuhu is confident they have the potential to cover the gap and finish honorably.

“I’m not worried about our current form because the league has just started and we’ve played only nine out of 30 games. I can say the dream and target of earning a top four finish is still on course,” he said.
