Hearts of Oak Board Member Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe was escorted by heavy police security after the club’s 0-3 loss to Wa All Stars in the First Capital Plus Premier League match on Wednesday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The outspoken board member was given protection by police and military men who stood their grounds after the final whistle.

Nyaho who backed the sacking of the then Hearts of Oak gaffer David Duncan, was nearly assaulted at the car park of the Accra Sports Stadium after Wednesday’s game, but it took the intervention of at least 10 policemen and military to whisker him away from the irate fans.

Footy-Ghana.com caught up with some of the irate fans right after the game. “We have seen the results and we can say that the result is not from the coach but from the board. How can they take such a decision to sack Duncan? We are very ashamed to be Hearts of Oak fans and we will do everything possible to make good things happen to this club.

"Nyaho Tamakloe and Togbe Afede form part of the problems of Hearts of Oak and not the players or even Polo, though we also have issues with Polo, but I think the Hearts of Oak problem is from the Board and we won’t stop chasing the board till they do things right”, an irate fan told footy-ghana.com.

A staunch supporter of Hearts of Oak, Ali Phobia who was at the stadium also shared his thoughts with footy-ghana.com, noting that with the current situation, it would be best for head coach Mohammed Polo to resign.

“There is a problem and we have to accept it in good faith. There is something wrong with this team. How can we concede 6goals in two games? This has never happened before and I hope the coach will take something from this and resign. It is as simple as that. We cannot continue like this. We have to make amends and for me this coach cannot help us at all.”

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak and Mohammed Polo will be punished for snubbing the mandatory post-match interview.
