At a short but impressive ceremony in Obuasi last week, he presented 2 sets of jerseys (30 pieces each), 3 goalkeeper jerseys with gloves, 50 stockings as well as 10 match balls to the CEO, Director of Operations and other top officials of the club.
Mr. Coffie, a former footballer based in Germany also promised that already shipped and on the way to land in Ghana within three weeks is a 40 feet container containing various training equipment including jerseys and tracksuits for camping and training, cones, bibs, removable goal posts, 100 training balls, a saloon car for the technical team and a big Benz bus, all for Red Lions FC.
Accordingly sponsored by Nike Germany, Ambassador Coffie said the items are intended to offer the players and technical team all the support they need to achieve Red Lions' avowed goal to qualify up into the elite division of Ghanaian league football at the end of the upcoming Division One League season.
"We thank you very much for these items and the good work you are doing in Germany. I remember the first time I met Mr. Coffie, what he said, I knew at once that he has good plans for the club," said Mohammed Issahaku, Director of Operations of Red Lions after receiving the items.
