Caretaker-coach of the Black Stars, Osam Doudo, has hinted that there are plans to recall Eric Addo and Odartey Lamptey to join the team for the next African Cup of Nation's qualifier against Zimbabwe in Harare on June three.

In an interview with the GNA Sports, the coach said even though he has made some preliminary contact with the players, nothing concrete has been agreed on.

He said he could sense a shift from their initial stance not to don the national jersey again.

" At the moment, our stumbling blocks have been their coaches who feel the Stars are out of contention for the world cup, hence not in the mood to release the players", the coach said.

He said, he is happy with the present composition of the team and not in any way going to make any major change in team's selection but would include a few foreign-based players to beef up the local assembly.

" It is for this reason that I am in contact with some of the foreign-based players like skipper Charles Akunnor, Stephen Appiah, Charles Amoah and Otto Addo among others to see which of them would be available.

Coach Osam has also invited Dawu's Awudu Adama, who have scored three goals in the four-match old Star Premier League to step for Emmanuel Osei Kuffour and Ishmael Addo who are both out of the country for medical attention and trails respectively.

The coach had also called up Kotoko's stalwart defender Isaac Owusu for Steven Tetteh of Hearts who has attracted two yellow cards and is not eligible to play.

He said, he has been informed by the Ghanaian Embassy that the Zimbabweans who still believe they could qualify for their first Cup of nations have been in camp for the past two weeks.

" To some since the ultimate which is the world cup could not be achieved there is no need to stretch ourselves over a tournament that we have taken part so many times. But qualification is also important since the country needs to maintain some image".

The list of players invited to start camping from Tuesday before breaking for the fifth week fixtures of the Star Premier League on Sunday are:

Goalkeepers: Sammy Adjei, James Nanor (Hearts) and Osei Boateng (Kotoko). Defenders: Amankwa Mireku, Jacob Nettey (Hearts), Kofi Amoaku, Prinston Owusu-Asnsah, Kenneth Ababio (Goldfields) George Essilfie (Olympics) Godfred Yeboah, Isaac Owusu (Kotoko) Hamza Mohammed (RTU).

Midfielders: Adjah Tetteh, Charles Taylor, Joe Ansah (Hearts) Godwin Ablordey, and Lawrence Adjei (Kotoko).

Attackers: Isaac Boakye, Nana Arhin Duah (Goldfields), Nana Frimpong (Kotoko) Issah Mohammed (Hasaacas), Awudu Adama (Dawu)
