MetroStars have handed a trial to former Olympiakos striker Peter Oforiquaye. The ex-international is available on a Bosman free following his release from the Greek club in May after a five-year spell in Athens.
Since leaving Greek football last spring, the forward have had trials with Turkish Super Lig champions Besiktas in the summer and with the French side Nice in late December.
In both cases Oforiquaye failed to impress enough to earn a deal.
The African hit-man has since decided to try his luck in USA.
Metrostars Coach Bob Bradley brought in 23-year-old for trials. He's already played an exhibition game for the side ainst the Chicago Fire in Florida.
