Okocha going for trials in Indai

Former Hearts of Oak, Ghana striker Abdul Samad Okocha is coming to East Bengal for trials. Heart of Oak Sporting Club, Accra is one the top clubs of Ghana Premier Football league.

Though Okocha represented a top Ghanaian club, East Bengal should be careful about his ITC documents as it has been learnt from sources in Ghana that Okocha’s agent Sammy Ali - a self-styled football agent was taken to police custody in middle of April 2006 after facing charges of issuing fake International Transfer Certificates for the transfer of four Ghanaian players.

Sammy Ali, who represented Slovakian Club FC Senec in Ghana issued fake ITCs for the transfer of former Hearts of Oak striker - Abdul Samad Okocha to Austrian club FC Casino Brengez last year and three other Ghanaian players between January 2005 and February 2006.
