The “One Ghana, Flag & Cup Tour”, a collaboration between two spectacular ''support generating'' movements which has grown in stature since the humble early beginnings at the 2006 World Cup Finals in Germany. Since then, it has consistently created the most exciting and biggest support campaign for the Black Stars of Ghana.
For the first time in 2014, the Ghana National Flag tour and the World Cup Balloon tour have teamed up with support from the Ministry of Youth & Sports and the Ghana Brazil 2014 World Cup Secretariat to tour the regions of Ghana.
Essentially, the balloon and flag will entice messages of support and signatures for the Black Stars ahead of the World Cup in Brazil.
The tour of regions in Ghana would be followed by events in the UK (Gold Coast, London) Holland (Rotterdam/Amsterdam) USA (Washington/Miami) and Brazil (Natal, Maceio, Fortaleza, Brasilia ) where the flag of Ghana and a distinctly Ghanaian replica World Cup trophy will be the magnet to bring people out to support their team.
The highlight of the grand gathering which coincided with the 15th anniversary celebrations of the enthronement of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was the parade of Ashanti royalty with sub Chiefs, queen mothers, elders and traditional priests among others as they celebrated Akwasidae Kese with their King.
The One Ghana team had special access to the venue for the grand durbar of chiefs and people and from all over the Ashanti Kingdom as the venue bubbled with human traffic amid pomp and pageantry.
One Ghana is the content provider for some spectacular events and off-the-pitch activities (Ghana Jamma Festival, Fans Diaries, National Media Summit and Cup and Flag Tour) aimed at creating a positive whirlwind for the Ghana Black Stars team and also to focus the media and general public interest on positives ahead of the Brazil 2014 World Cup tournament.
The next gathering of the Ghana Jamma Festival is on Thursday 15th May 2014 from 3-5pm followed by the unveiling of the official One Ghana T-Shirt.
