The acting head coach of the Ghana Black Stars, Fred Osam Duodu says he would not entertain any player of Kumasi Asante Kotoko in camp due to the refusal of the club’s management to release them. Coach Osam Duodu who gave an October 15 deadline to all local players to report for camping has players of almost all the Clubs reporting except Asante Kotoko.

The Black Stars coach, is yet to hear a word from Osei Boateng, Joe Hendricks, Dan Acquah, Isaac Owusu and Godwin Ablordey all of Kotoko who were called up for camping.

The Kotoko management says it would only release the players at the end of the league season.

Kotoko’s action has however been met with a strong reaction from FA Chairman-Ben Kwofie who says the FA would not plead with any club for its players.

The FA Chairman further said the failure of the club to release its players has resulted in their recent dismal performance in the league.

He also explained that the national team camp provides the players with the best training programmes and diet.

Under the training programme towards next year's African Cup of Nations, the players report on Mondays and break camp on Thursdays to join their respective clubs for their league matches over the weekend.
