Footy-ghana.com understands that former Berekum Chelsea striker Emmanuel Osei Banahene could land a call up into the Black Stars squad for the 2015 African Nations Cup qualifying double header against Uganda and Togo.
According to our sources, the Saudi Arabia-based forward is being considered as cover for the not fully fit Asamoah Gyan and Jordan Ayew, who is suspended for the Uganda game.
Footy-ghana.com gathers that stand in coach Maxwell Konadu has initiated contact with Osei Banahene and the former Black Satellites and Local Black Stars forward could land a surprise call up into the squad.
Banahene has been called up before, but suffered an injury before a friendly game between Ghana and Turkey over a year ago.
