Former Manchester City youth team striker Frank Osei Kwame is on trials at Swedish top division side Halmstad BK.
The 19-year-old striker joined City five years ago from Right to Dream Academy and has been in the youth team since. He spent last season on loan at Danish premier division side AGF.
Kwame’s contract with the Citizens ended this summer, prompting him to search for another avenue.
“It was tough to get to play there for the team, it was bad even they did not give the young players a chance. I did everything I could, but it was hard for me,” the 19-year-old told the Evening Post.
After his first training session over the weekend, HBK manager Jens Gustafsson was full of praise for the youngster.
“He has tremendous speed. He is good one against one and can be used on an edge, and in the attack. That along with the good experiences we have with King Gyan enables us to take him here now".
Kwame is expected to play against Mjallby in the Under-21 series on Thursday and in a friendly match on Saturday.
