Chief Executive of Tema Youth, Wilfred Osei Parma, is urging the Ghana FA to immediately consider referring fans guilty of hooliganism to the police for further prosecution.

Parma, who is an FA Executive Committee member, has suffered attacks from unruly fans of both Hearts of Oak and Berekum Arsenal in away matches involving his side Tema Youth during the second half of the 2011/12 Glo Ghana Premier League season.

FA Boss Kwesi Nyantakyi has promised that Ebusua Dwarfs fans responsible for the brutalization of referee Patrick Kyeremanteng will be handed to the police. Wilfred Osei Parma tells Pravda Sports this move should be adopted for all cases of hooliganism to control the canker affecting the local game.

“As part of the recommendations of the Disciplinary Committee, it should be included that if the laws of the land is against such assaults or attacks, such a matter should also be referred to the Police for them to carry on the matter from there,” the CEO of Tema Youth told PRAVDA SPORTS 93.5 FM.

He explained further: “Otherwise people will just attack others and feel that they will just go scot free, maybe only their club is banned from its home venue. What about the fans that perpetuated the act? What do we do to them?

“Especially, when you look at the fact that in the Hearts of Oak case, the cameras captured all those who were in action and I feel that the culprits must be brought to book."
