Ghana goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey has attributed the Black Stars 2-0 victory over Sudan on Saturday to hard work and esprit de corps.
The 24-year-old kept a clean sheet between the sticks as a pair of first half goals from Asamoah Gyan and captain John Mensah at the Al Hilal Stadium maintained their superiority over Sudan.
The Stromsgodset was making first appearance for the 2010 Fifa World Cup quarter-finalists despite the difficult weather conditions in Omdurman.
It was also his first away match on the continent after he was cleared by Fifa to play for Ghana early this year.
“I am satisfied. Hard to play in this oven so the result is a strong result. The players worked really hard and did the job perfectly and so I’m proud,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com
Kwarasey made his debut last month in a 2-0 win over Swaziland at the Accra Sports Stadium.
