Dakar, February 11 - The coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Paa Kwesi Fabin, intends to''cause disruption''Saturday during his visit to Dakar to meet the Linguere St. Louis in preliminary League of champions of Africa.
In an interview published on the website of the club visited the APS, Paa Kwessi Fabin believes that the match will not be an easy task''but''there will be''game and the influence''on the part his team.
The Linguere''has nothing to lose if she is beaten by Kotoko. But we have more to gain with a victory, because we have to protect our past,''said the coach of Asante Kotoko.
"We go into Saturday's game with a huge picture, that of being the best African club of the last century, so they surely would have stepped up their preparations for this match. Therefore, we will deliver a game very tactic to contain them, and then surprise them,''continued Paa Kwessi Fabin.
The club Kumasi won the national championship 19 times and the national cup 8 times.
At the African level, the Asante Kotoko has won twice the African Confederation Cup in 1970 and 1983.
It has been a finalist five times and three times semi-finalist in the CAF Cup. The opponent of Linguere reached the final of the African Cup Winners Cup in 2002 and the final of the CAF Cup in 2004.
Current ranking sixth in the championship of Ghana Asante Kotoko moved to Dakar with a group of 18 players (2 goalies, 6 defenders, 4 midfielders and 6 forwards).
Coach says the club have spent much preparation in terms of''endurance and mental toughness.''
