Ghana winger Patrick Twumasi has joined Spanish side Deportivo Alaves, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
This comes just 48 hours after Ghana's leading football news website, Ghanasoccernet.com exclusively revealed that the deal was in the offing.
The 24-year-old moves from Kazakhstan side FC Astana after signing a four-year contract with the Spanish second-tier side, confirming Ghanasoccernet.com initial report on the deal.
Twumasi joins his compatriot Mubarak Wakaso at the club that has been relegated into the second tier and have the key aim of returning to the top-flight immediately.
The Ghana international will be a new player for the Basque side who will play in the second tier for next season.
The speedy and tricky player underwent the medical tests before he was handed the contract and chance to impress in mainstream Europe.
The Ghanaian player is a key gamble for present and future of Alaves and for that reason the Basque team have given him a long-term contract.
The attacker played a total of 29 games last season for Astana, in which he scored 18 goals and contributed 3 assists.
He will become the fourth signing of the club after Borja Bastón, Jony and Ximo Navarro.
Twumasi will not be the last signing, since Alaves are working on the signing of a left-back, a midfielder and a striker.
