The police at Lakeside district has dismissed claims of arresting some 19 persons for disregarding public gathering directives as well as holding a wedding ceremony.
The Lakeside District security’s comment comes on the back of earlier reports that, their outfit picked up some persons at a marriage ceremony which took place at Lakeside Estate on Saturday, April 18.
In an interview with Ghanaweb, the Lakeside District Commander Peter Adjei, said the arrest was made at Nanakrom which falls under the Lakeside District.
“The actual location for this offence was Nanakrom. Nanakrom is under Lakeside district. The name of the police unit is Lakeside, but suburb where the offence occurred was Nanakrom," he said.
