THE Dansoman Liberty Park will explode tomorrow with soccer action when it plays host to this year?s annual Polio Soccer gala organised by Capital Sports, an Accra based agency, in conjunction with the Ministry of Health, the Voice of America and B. Baldi Consultancy of Alitalia.
In the opening match of the occasion, the junior side of Liberty Professionals will lock horns with Ronnie FC of Accra in what is expected to be an exciting encounter.
Global FC and Capital Sports are going to battle it out in the other interesting duel. Winners of the two games will face off in the grand finale to determine who lifts the 2002 Polio Gala trophy.
Gracing the occasion as a special guest of honour will be the government Deputy Spokesman, Kwabena Agyapong, with Honourable Theresa Tagoe, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North taking the ceremonial kick off to set the ball rolling.
The Polio Soccer Gala is held annually as part of measures geared towards the creation of awareness for the disease and help towards eradicating it from the country totally through football.
