After thrilling Ghanaian and African football fans with his fine football skills, Ghana legend Mohammed ?the dribbling professor? Polo has been handed the biggest challenge yet to prove his mettle as a coach. Polo has been taken on as coach of Mali champions Stade Malien on a one-year contract.

The job is the former Hearts of Oak?s star?s biggest coaching job after stints in the Arab world coaching junior teams.

His immediate assignment is to guide Stade into the money spinning stage of the African champions league later next month.

Polo is making a name for himself at Stade and proving to Ghanaians that he has what it takes to coach at the highest level after the rejection of his application for the Black Stars job. He would also have to eclipse compatriot Golden Boy Abdul Razak?s prime place in Stade history.

Razak guided the Malians to the league and Cup doubles in his first season there unbeaten before eliminating Hearts of Oak from the champions league.
