The International Relations Officer of BA Stars, Mr. Kofi Poku, has secured 70 pairs of football boots valued at over $10,000 to the team.

Both Polygon Sports and Boots for Africa made the items available following appeals from Mr. Poku who has a passion for developing sports talents in Africa. Receiving the donation at Nsoatre, near Sunyani, the Chief Executive Officer of the club, Mr. Charles K. Ntim, expressed appreciation to the donors, saying that the items would greatly assist the club as it strives to make impact in the country. Mr. Ntim noted that such donations would go a long way to help develop sports in the country and urged other individuals and organizations to help their various clubs. The sponsorship director for Polygon Sports Limited, Mr. Koye Sowemimo, said working with Boots for Africa is a great opportunity to identify football talents that would regularly receive support to enhance the game.

He added that both organizations have identified the lack of support for football at the grassroot and lower divisions and would therefore offer support to all clubs. Richard Tims, Chairman of Sheffield FC who is part of Boots for Africa, observed that Ghana has developed so much in football over the years and that the organization would support the identification and growth of more talents. Boots for Africa has since 2007 been supporting many communities in Africa and providing disadvantaged children and adults with football boots.
