Poor pitch affected us - Samuel Afful

Sekondi Hasaacas captain Samuel Afful says the deplorable nature of the Baba Yara Stadium pitch affected his team in the 2-2 draw against league champions Asante Kotoko on Wednesday.

He told the press after the game that, he and his colleagues did not put up a good performance in the second half because some of the players were poor on the afternoon, noting that the nature of the pitch affected them.

‘’The pitch affected us. The grass was very bad. This is the first time I have witnessed a poor second half. Normally we are solid in the second half, but most of the players were not fit and the performance of some of them wasn’t good.’’
