Port of Tema FC declared losers in a protest case

The Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GRFA) has declared Port of Tema FC losers in a protest case filed against them by AC Sondisco in the Division Two League.

AC Sondisco filed a protest against Port of Tema FC over claims that Teddy Dzreagu was an unqualified player.


According to a release copied to GNA Sports by the Disciplinary Committee of the GRFA, Port of Tema FC were found to have breached Article 29(1)(b) and therefore declared losers.


The Committee thus awarded AC Sondisco three points and three goals, with Port of Tema FC losing three points from their accumulated points.


The Committee said Port of Tema FC is also to pay a fine of GHc100.00, with 50% of the amount going to AC Sondisco in accordance with Article 34(5a) of the GFA Regulations.

In a related development, the Committee also declared Al Sadd SC losers in their outstanding week three league game against Dreams FC.


Dreams FC has also been awarded three points and three goals in the said match, with Al Sadd S/C also losing three points from their accumulated points.


The Committee also fined Al-Sadd S.C. GHc100.00, with 50% of the amount to be paid to Dreams F.C. with an additional 30 GHC to be paid to Dreams FC for their transportation in accordance with article 34(5)(a).


Dreams F.C. protested against Al-Sadd S.C. for bringing their outstanding week (3) league match to an abrupt end after a goal was scored by Dreams F.C.**
