The attempt by Kumasi Asante Kotoko to register Francis Aggrey of Berekum Arsenals for the 2003 premier league has been put on hold by Power FC as a result of a petition before the Professional League Board (PLB).

A letter signed by Mr. Emmanuel Addotey, Acting Chairman of Power FC and made available to the GNA Sports, stated that the player was transferred from Power to Arsenals on August 26, 2001, but the later failed to abide by the terms of the deal.

According to Mr. Adottey, it was agreed that Arsenals should pay the transfer fee by the end of October 2001 and failure to do so would result in the withdrawal of the services of the player to Arsenals.

The Acting Chairman however that Arsenal have not paid the money involved and are reported to be making moves to transfer the player to another club without their consent.

Mr Adottey stated categorically that the player is not for sale and reiterated the stand of Power F/C that the PLB should put hold on the registration of the player by Kotoko.

It would be recalled that a section of the sporting media reported a transfer deal between Kotoko and Arsenals over striker Francis Aggrey who is popularly known as "Mboma".
